Dr Stefano Manca qualified from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2014. He then moved to the United Kingdom and worked in different working environments including veterinary general practice and charity for almost four years. He completed a 12-month rotating internship and a surgical internship at a busy referral centre in Hampshire followed by an internship in advanced orthopaedics and neurosurgery at Fitzpatrick Referrals.
During these years Stefano completed both the RCVS Certificate in General Small Animal Surgery and the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging from the University of Liverpool. In the summer of 2023, he started the three-year European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) approved small animal surgical residency at Fitzpatrick Referrals.
Stefano enjoys all aspects of small animal surgery however his main areas of interest are surgical oncology, reconstructive surgery, and complex fracture repair as well as angular limb deformity correction.
