SPVS Business Excellence Awards
The SPVS Veterinary Business Excellence Awards celebrate and honour outstanding veterinary practices that have demonstrated exceptional performance and innovation in key areas crucial to the future success of the profession.
Fitzpatrick Referrals was highly commended in January 2025 in the category ‘team and self-development’ category, which recognised collaboration and cooperation among team members, a strong and supportive practice culture and a supportive and inclusive work environment.
2024
RCVS Practice Standards Scheme
The Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) is an initiative by the RCVS to accredit UK veterinary practices, with the aim of promoting and maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care. As well as accreditations, RCVS also offers awards that practices can apply for to showcase the areas in which they excel. Both initiatives are voluntary.
In 2024, our practice was re-accredited by the RCVS and proudly became an RCVS-accredited small animal hospital and also achieved ‘outstanding’ in three awards.
2023
Gold Cat Friendly Clinic
Fitzpatrick Referrals was officially certified as an International Cat Care Cat Friendly Clinic at gold level, recognising not only our state-of-the-art facilities but also our highly trained and compassionate team, all of whom understand and appreciate the unique challenges clients often face when bringing their cat into a veterinary hospital.
Investors in the Environment (iiE)
In 2023, we were awarded bronze level by Investors in the Environment (iiE) – the first step of their accreditation scheme – recognising our commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our daily business operations. Our green team is currently working towards iiE’s silver level.
