Are you an experienced RVN who enjoys night work and finds ward nursing especially rewarding? Join Fitzpatrick Referrals’ specialist orthopaedics, neurology and dentistry hospital in Eashing, Surrey, where your skills, compassion and attention to detail will help our inpatients receive the care they need throughout the night.
You’ll work alongside colleagues who share your commitment to excellent patient care. With three nurses, three veterinary care assistants and a vet on-site overnight, teamwork is at the heart of every shift.
Your role
You’ll provide attentive, individualised ward-based nursing care to patients with complex needs, bringing clinical judgement, empathy and a proactive approach to their overnight care. This is an opportunity to build on your experience, develop your advanced nursing skills and take pride in the difference that thoughtful, dedicated inpatient care can make.
Support to help you develop
Joining a specialist hospital can be an exciting next step, and we’ll support you as you settle into your role. You’ll receive a full induction, mentoring and ongoing support to develop your skills in caring for our orthopaedic and neurological patients. Funded CPD will help you continue learning and building your expertise.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for an experienced registered veterinary nurse who combines sound nursing skills with compassion, initiative and excellent teamwork. Referral nursing experience would be beneficial, but you don’t need a referral background to apply. We also welcome RVNs with post-qualification experience in first-opinion practice and/or emergency and critical care who are ready to take their next step.
Your hours and benefits
- One full-time position, working 7 nights on, 7 nights off, Monday to Sunday every other week
- Salary starting from £39,000 per year, with a pay scale based on post-qualification experience
- 12-hour waking shifts with a paid rest break
- Full induction, mentoring and ongoing support
