Clinical Nurse Lead

Fitzpatrick Referrals is an independent veterinary specialist referral practice in Surrey, delivering world-class orthopaedic and neurology care to patients from across the UK and beyond.

We are seeking Clinical Nurse Leads to join our nursing management team to help lead our dedicated nursing and veterinary care assistant teams in delivering exceptional care to every patient entrusted to us.

The role

We are looking for an experienced registered veterinary nurse who has previous experience in people management and shares our vision to marry compassionate care with excellence in veterinary medicine. As clinical nurse lead, you will line manage a portion of our nursing team with direct responsibility for approximately 15 veterinary nurses and care assistants. You will work as part of the nursing management team to provide clinical and wellbeing support to the entire nursing team.

This role requires exceptional leadership skills, someone with a positive attitude who shows compassion and direction, and who is able to manage teams within a fast-paced environment. This is a clinical role, so you must possess clinical confidence and competence, along with the ability to make decisions. You will be empathetic and supportive and act as a positive role model at all times. Experience with orthopaedic and neurology patients would be an advantage but is not essential.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week over 5 days, working as part of the nursing rota with allocated admin time each week. The nursing rota includes weekends and a share of the bank holidays. The practice

The practice is located in the south west of Surrey, just outside the historic market town of Godalming, close to Guildford and the beautiful Surrey Hills with excellent travel links to London.
